This website is deliberately boring in this respect: it sets two items of browser storage. One remembers the choice you make about browser storage; the other remembers that you have already answered the “email me the app link” prompt, so it does not keep reappearing.
What we store today

What we do not use
- No analytics or measurement scripts.
- No advertising or retargeting pixels.
- No social media embeds or share widgets.
- No third-party fonts — the site uses the fonts already on your device.
- No session cookies for signed-out visitors, because this site has no login.
Categories, and why the banner still exists
We classify storage as strictly necessary, functional/preferences, analytics and marketing. Only the first category is in use.
Under UK PECR, consent is required before setting anything that is not strictly necessary. Since we set nothing in those categories, nothing is loaded before you choose, and choosing “reject” changes nothing about how the site behaves. The controls are present so you can decline in advance, and so that adding analytics later cannot happen without a working consent mechanism already in place. Rejecting is exactly as easy as accepting: the same button, in the same row, at the same size.

The ROUTN app
The mobile app does not use cookies. It stores your sign-in session in your device’s secure keystore, and caches your routine locally so it works offline. Both are cleared when you log out. See the Privacy Policy for what the app stores on our servers.
